Our Vision

Our vision at Safe Harbor is to Reach, Connect, Send:

  • To reach the unchurched and the overchurched.  We want to meet everyone – from people who have never stepped foot in a church to people who are burnt out spiritually and overwhelmed by religion.  We understand that in this culture, it’s hard to sustain a healthy, Jesus-centered church, even in the “Bible Belt”.  This is why we rely on the Holy Spirit to lead us, whether it be during our weekly worship service or while we’re out ministering elsewhere.
  • To connect people to people, and people to God.  We believe that God has placed us on this earth and within our specific community for a reason.  As part of the body of Christ, we believe we were created with a purpose, and we all need each other.  We also believe that people are craving something real – a true experience with the living God – and we want to facilitate that in any way we can.  We want to see the big picture – to know that this life is about more than us!
  • To send believers out to do ministry and missions.  Safe Harbor is committed to stepping outside the walls of our church to serve our community, and we’re passionate about supporting missions, no matter where it may take place.  We want to serve our community first, knowing that actions speak louder than words to this generation.  We also want to pray for and support missionaries however we can.  We want to be where Jesus is, whether it’s across the country or across the world.
